At two weeks old, there was something about Peyton that wowed all who saw him. In March of 2008, we had a little three month old puppy that was very sick. When Timmy laid down on the floor with and IV sticking out from his little leg, Peyton curled up next to him and slept right next him. Throughout Timmy’s recovery, Peyton stayed by his side.

Peyton loves to snuggle in bed, getting as close to me as he can. He came to school with me in the fall of 2007. It was Halloween, and several students were in costume. Peyton took it all in stride as they surrounded him, petting him, and hugging him. In my classroom, he loved on all the students, climbed on the desks, and searched through their lunch bags for food.
Peyton is a star in his agility class, always going beyond what the instructor tells us to do. After finishing a pattern, he looks around him for either more jumps that are in his path, the A- frame, the dog walk, etc. He happily runs over to those obstacles, ignoring my calls to bring him back. Finally he comes running back to me for treats, with a wagging tail and a happy face that seems to say,” Look, Mom! Didn’t I do good?”
